Lucy & Ricky's Lakeside Summer Tipi Wedding at Duncton Mill

When we first saw these images of Lucy & Ricky's stunning lakeside tipi wedding we were blown away. Their love for one another is truly reflected throughout these images and we are thrilled to share them with you and hopefully inspire plans for your own wedding day. With tons of summer sunshine, bohemian inspired florals and decor, we are sure you are going to love hearing all about this couples special day as well as their love story. 

The day started off with an outdoor ceremony decorated with rustic rugs, a bohemian inspired hexagon ceremony arch (created by Lucy's dad) and tons of romantic dried florals by Rococo Florist. The fun the continued into the night with a tipi supplied by Tribeca Tipis and styled to perfection by the bride herself. Keep reading to find out more...

The Tipi Wedding Venue Location: 

Set at the charming and scenic lakeside venue of Duncton Mill, a perfect location for an outdoor summer wedding. Lucy and Ricky decided to choose a tipi for their wedding reception, as Lucy is a huge fan of the boho rustic style, and visualised a 3-hat tipi overlooking the lake at Duncton Mill would look so beautiful, and boy was she right!

Lucy told us:

'When we planned our wedding, we both said we wanted a really untraditional wedding, as this would reflect who we are. The tipi’s were just a perfect fit for us, with all the beams and the open sides. I couldn’t of asked for a better supplier in Kathyrn from Tribeca Tipis, who helped me bring my vision to light with all the added extras, like the rustic benches and rugs.'

The Summer Tipi Styling & Decor:

Lucy planned and styled everything herself, with a little help from Tribeca Tipis with the tipi interior furnishings. Lucy's rustic boho personal touches included a fabulous free standing table layout display for guests, decorated with eucalyptus leaves, as well as a personalised outdoor pallet backdrop, photo wall and boho decor with peacock chairs and pampas grass.

The Boho Bridal Look:

Lucy's sensational figure-hugging bridal gown was from Proposals of Chichester ,partnered with a pair of classic Jimmy Choos. For when things got a little chilly in the evening, Lucy kept warm in her customised 'Mrs Hunt' leather jacket, she also had a matching fedora hat which added an element of boho glam to her bridal look. Doesn't she just look stunning!

'The best moment of your wedding day is a hard one to pin point or sum up, as the day has so many special moments.' We asked Lucy what hers would be if she could pick one special moment, she specifically remembers a point after all the speeches were done and they had their first dance, when she took a moment to stand back with her new husband and just watch all of their guests having the best time with smiles on their faces, laughing with each other or mosh pitting on the dancefloor to the live band. 'That's when you realise how it was all worth it and what a huge amount of special people you have in your life' Lucy added.
