April is the first ever jeweller in the South West, UK to become a licensee holder of the dual mark Fairtrade and Fairmined Ecological Gold, back in 2011, she is certified for both marks on her wedding collection and jewellery. The client has full confidence that the gold has been mined in a social and environmental responsible manner.
Being part of the Fairtrade and Fairmined system means miners will adhere to a set of standards, guaranteeing that gold is produced in a way that is safe for people and the environment, in return, miners will receive a set minimum Fairtrade/Fairmined price for their gold, plus the Fairtrade/Fairmined premium to invest in community and business development projects.
The golden doors of fairness are now open for all the small miners in the world.
April is a North Devon based ethical jeweller. She designs and creates jewellery in her studio, passionate thinking jeweller following her conscience and determined to do things the ‘right way’.
She lives near the North Devon Jurassic Coastline where her inspiration has come from, the energy of the sea, the rock formations and the life that lives within the natural balance of this rugged landscape.
