Dorset Dubhire is a family owned and run wedding transport business, based in Wimborne, Dorset.
Specialising in classic Volkswagens, they offer a multi award winning chauffeur driven, wedding car experience throughout Dorset and the surrounding areas, in their fleet of beautifully restored 1960- 1970s VW campervans and 1965 Beetle.
You can choose from 1960 splitscreen Lulu, 1970s baywindow beauties Lucy and Lillie or 1965 Beetle Lilah, or a combination of their head turning classic VWs to co ordinate transport for your bridal/ groom’s party.
Vehicles are painted in gorgeous pastel shades and campervans benefit from bespoke wedding interiors, in order to provide you with the maximum amount of space and comfort.
Seating Options
Wedding campervans seat up to 6 passengers so are perfect for both bridal and groom’s parties. Lilah the Beetle is an ideal bridal/couples’ vehicle (seating up to 3 passengers) and is often booked alongside the campervans
About Dorset Dub Hire
The business was created out of Catherine and Jason’s passion for classic VWs. After years of owning campervans their camper was involved in a family wedding and the idea for Dorset Dubhire was born.
The fleet has grown organically over the years and Catherine runs the business full time, assisting you from your initial enquiry through to your wedding day.
Throughout the last 11 years Dorset Dubhire has been privileged to have been a part of over 1100 weddings and to have won 12 wedding industry awards. Catherine joined The Wedding Industry Awards wedding transportation judging panel this year.

Vehicle Styling
Catherine dresses vehicles to fit in with your theme. You can choose from high quality faux flower garlands, an array of hand made bunting and any ribbon colour available. Chilled soft drinks are provided in pretty baskets along with large white umbrellas, blankets for cold weather, a ‘just married sign’ and other useful items.
On the Day
You’re encouraged to get the most from your Dorset Dubhire wedding car experience with plenty of photo time included as standard. Drivers are also happy to take you for photos at a nearby location or just for a little drive together.

Environmentally Sustainable Work Practises
Dorset Dubhire has always been passionate about using small, local businesses for work on vehicles-from mechanical maintenance, body/paint work, to interiors (beautiful vehicle interiors were made from sustainable wood by local business Custom Made Furniture in Poole with upholstery by Esteem Marine Upholstery in Poole-vehicles, upholstered in high quality marine grade vinyl not leather). Decorations used for vehicles are re-useable-fabric rather than plastic ribbons, silk flower garlands, hand made cotton bunting. Refreshments are served in recyclable cans or glass bottles with recycled paper straw. Dorset Dubhire work locally, covering only Dorset and the borders of the surrounding counties. Business flyers and cards are printed locally (designed by a local graphic designer) and are made from recycled paper.
Over Deliver
Dorset Dubhire aim to exceed all clients’ expectations in the lead up to the wedding date and on the day itself. Preparation is really important (even if not too exciting!), to ensure that vehicles are maintained to the highest possible standard. Safety is top of the list of priorities-MOTs (which are not a legal necessity for classic cars) and electrical safety testing of vehicles is undertaken annually. Many wedding car companies don’t MOT their cars so they’re not necessarily checked annually by someone independent. Fire systems are also fitted in each vehicle’s engine bay along with extinguishers in each vehicle. Dorset Dubhire also ensure they have driven any new routes or to any new venues before your wedding day, undertaking a dry run and chatting over timings with you in the two weeks before the big day to ensure you're happy and relaxed well before the day arrives.

It's really important to work well with other local suppliers in order to provide a seamless service on each couple's wedding day. After 11 years in the industry, Dorset Dubhire are recommended by many top local wedding venues including Sopley Mill, The Italian Villa, The Old Vicarage, Kingston Country Courtyard, Burley Manor, Kingston Maurward, Weddings in the Wood, Symondsbury Estate, The Larmer Tree Gardens, The Green House Hotel, The Victorian Barn and The Crown Hotel in Blandford. Over the years the business has won 12 industry awards (local and regional) from The Dorset Wedding Awards and The Wedding Industry Awards (TWIAs). TWIAs are voted for by couples which makes them extra special! Catherine was thrilled to be asked to be a judge for the wedding transportation category at TWIAs this year. In 2017 Lillie and Lilah featured in 'Hello' magazine after they provided transport for Danny Mac and Carley Stenson's wedding at 'Weddings in the Wood' in Lyndhurst.

The service from Dorset Dub hire was not only professional but it was friendly and caring which meant a lot at a stressful time. They really care about your overall experience. The car was with us ahead of time and the service was second to none. We unexpectedly had my Nan with us and our driver offered to make 2 trips to accommodate us, they were happy to stay with us for photos and didn’t rush us at all.
