Based in rural Somerset, Julia Thompson embraces living on the wild side allowing her idyllic surroundings to inspire much of her ethical jewellery design which is unusual, bold, and full of narrative. Julia uses traditional hand fabrication techniques working in recycled sterling silver and Fairtrade Gold. She incorporates a unique selection of hand-picked gemstones in her designer collections, some completely one-of-a-kind, making each piece bespoke and individual for those free spirits who love positive luxury.

Sustainability and working towards a transparent supply chain are core values within the business. Julia has recently become a Fairtrade Gold Licensee and can guarantee with the Fairtrade Stamp that her gold pieces are fully traceable back to Fairtrade Gold mining communities in Peru. Being able to offer you peace of mind and a complete story of where your piece of jewellery has originated from is of utmost importance.
Wedding / Civil Partnership Ring Course

Julia offers a full day Wedding / Civil Partnership Ring Course from her Somerset studio. The outcome will be two beautiful rings, full of love and meaning that you'll both be proud to wear forever, plus great memories of a fantastic day.

Wedding and Sapphire Engagement rings can be made to order incorporating ethical precious metals or heirloom gold. A bespoke commission allows you to create something truly unique. With guidance and experience, Julia will translate your ideas and designs into a one-of-a-kind piece of jewellery to last a lifetime.

Julia is so knowledgeable and reassuring when it comes to crafting rings. I felt 100% involved from my first contact with her. She made sure that my influence/ ideas were listened to throughout whilst also inputting her own great thoughts and suggestions. We are so pleased that we found Julia. It was a very big decision to make our own wedding rings. We had never done anything like this before. The one thing we were sure of was, that we wanted them to be personal to us and very special. It is three months since we married and I enjoy and love every moment I look at my ring. Julia guided us through the design and making of our rings using her skills and experience whilst enabling us to be totally involved.
