Our Owl Barn wedding venue has been crafted to offer a bespoke, creative approach to your wedding. We believe our space is special. It is beautiful and wild and completely tailorable to the vision you have for your big day. We specialise in intimate, creative and personal celebrations and are proud to be one of only a very small number of locations in Yorkshire, to offer an elopement service as well as being able to cater for weddings with up to 200 guests.
We are licenced to host civil ceremonies (although you do not have to have your legal marriage on site) both inside our barn and outside in our woodlands and nature areas. We can create a package for you where everything is taken care of, alternatively you can hire our site and land and host your own DIY style wedding. Our onsite accommodation also offers the opportunity to have an extended wedding celebration over several days.
As an inclusive wedding venue we understand that not everyone is looking for a traditional approach and, as family run business, we spend time getting to know you, your vision and your requirements. We work hard to assist in creating a beautiful, bespoke wedding and understand that children and pets can be integral to your celebration too, so of course you can have a tortoise ring bearer or a pooch for a best man!

Environmentally Sustainable Work Practises
Here at The Owl Barn, our remote location and passion for nature leads us to encourage our couples to make sustainable decisions to best enhance and protect our beautiful countryside. All of our water is supplied via fresh water springs and we limit the amount of outside lighting to preserve our Dark Skies accredited status.
Over Deliver
Our couples love our approach to hosting weddings - extended time on site, no rushing from wedding to wedding. We spread our celebrations out so that we have the time to dedicate to each couple and their plans for their celebration.

We love working with high quality, local, independent suppliers who get our vibe! We strongly believe in the power of team and the power of sharing with other small businesses and we work hard to surround ourselves with other fabulous businesses!
Highly Regarded
We find that when a new supplier comes out to work with us here, they are always surprised by what they find! We are a little secret gem, tucked away in the Yorkshire Dales. Our couples often come back to stay with us for anniversaries and special occasions which is the best compliment ever!
