We are delighted to welcome Kera Thompson from Kera Jay Weddings to the The Boho Bride Guide Blog this month. Kera will be sharing all the juicy details from her Secret Botanical Elopement Shoot inspired by intimate alfresco dining and seasonal blooms. 

Wedding Elopement Inspiration 
With the upheaval of the wedding industry in 2020 and 2021, small intimate outdoor weddings look to continue to rise in popularity into the second half of this year and into 2022. Kera wanted to show couples that you can have a beautiful small intimate wedding and reflect all of your personality and passions into the styling and activities throughout your day.

The Outdoor Table Scape Styling
Kera worked closely with Shelly, from Shelly Hartley Interiors, to create the overall styling for this shoot. An eclectic floral palette of blues, pinks and greenery set the scene, which were used across the table scape styling as well as the bar, and bridal florals. 

The Perfect Venue for an Outdoor Wedding
Trevella Manor is a beautiful listed Georgian manor house in a rural setting on the outskirts of the cathedral city of Truro in Cornwall. A picturesque pavilion and opportunity to house giant tipi tents on their expansive green lawns adjoining the beautiful gardens, makes the venue perfect for both a small intimate celebration, through to a large wedding event.

The Classically Elegant Reloved Bridal Dress
Kate and Sue from Tavistock Bridal Reloved, provided a classically elegant floor length dress in a faint blush colour with a romantic train completing the bridal look.

Cruelty Free Bridal Hair & Makeup
Kelsey from Bohemia Beauty is a vegan and cruelty-free hair and makeup artist. 'As a make-up artist and consumer I feel it is my duty to buy responsibly, and so I aim to keep Bohemia Beauty as low-waste as possible and only carry cruelty-free make-up'.

Tiffany from @foreverwildcd, created the dried floral bridal bouquet. It is all home grown and responsibly foraged and her confetti was the perfect eco solution for the day.

Grooms Suit
Mckay Menswear is situated on the top floor of Prudence Gowns, in Plymouth and supplied our groom with a sophisticated Marc Darcy, Scott Grey checkered 3-piece suit paired a navy blue tie.

Locally Grown Wedding Flowers
Brookside Flower Farm is an environmentally friendly social enterprise that offers locally grown cut wedding flowers for your big day in Cornwall. Katie created a beautiful and bountiful display of seasonally grown flowers that created a WOW as you approached the feasting table. As well as a vibrant bridal bouquet and accompanying flower crown.

Delicate Wedding Stationery
Scarlet Jade Design created a delicate stationary collection of nameplates and menus to complete the table scape styling, using a translucent vellum wrap and pink wax seal.

Welcome Drinks from a Cornwall Based Winery
Floreat Wine is the creation of Anne-Marie Hurst, a qualified medical herbalist based in Cornwall. She recognised the global shift towards more mindful living and consumption, and her vision was to create a delicate and delicious sparkling wine, lower in alcohol and calories than existing sparkling wines on the market. 

Wedding Photography Team
For the shoot I wanted two wedding photographers so that no photos were missed. Katie from Kitten Photogenic and Emily from HawkWood Photography did an amazing job at capturing the day.

Capturing Those Precious Moments on Film
Jono from I do Film Weddings created a stunning wedding film, capturing those priceless moments held between the couple on the day of the editorial shoot and shows the beauty of Trevella Manor and their open spance of picturesque grounds.
