An Intimate Winter Barn Wedding - Bohemian Style

We have a delightfully warm winter wedding to share with you on the blog this week, just in time for the run up to Christmas.

Sophie from North & Wild Events and a full list of talented suppliers, has shared with us this gorgeous styled shoot to help inspire your dream winter boho wedding and get you wedding planning for 2022 and beyond.

So grab your cup of hot coco (or mulled wine) and cosy up to enjoy the warm, golden and honey tones these images have to offer.

A few words from Sophie regarding the inspiration behind this styled wedding shoot:
"We wanted to create some winter wedding inspiration that took everything we love about the wintery season and bring it to life. We all wanted to make a bit of wintery magic as it was the last shoot of 2020 and as we all know it was a tough year for many! Showing couples that LOVE always wins and that small weddings even in the middle of our coldest season can always be stunning."

The Wedding Venue
The Shoot was held at The Oakwood at Ryther, which is a beautiful wedding venue nestled within tranquil meadows of greenery and wildflowers, deep in the heart of the North Yorkshire countryside. A generations old family farm, now transformed into an incredible wedding and events venue.

Bohemian Venue Styling
Warm, golden, honey tones, accents of simple crisp wintery whites and hints of gold ran through the styling of this shoot and we just absolutely adore it.

The aim was to create a look that was free of traditional festive colours with a sprinkling of those all-important boho vibes. We think they hit the nail on the head with this brief.

A Free-Spirited Bohemian Bride
The stunning sequin bridal dress was designed by Shikoba Bride and supplied by Serendipity Bridal, a Bridal Boutique located in Stockport, Cheshire, which twinkled beautifully in the warm lighting of the venue.

The bridal hair and make-up was styled by Nala & Knot who have over 10 years experience in the wedding industry and partnered with a beautiful floral crown by Luna and Wild  and embroidered hat by Rebecca Anne Designs, creating the perfect winter boho bridal look. Lilley Studio provided some gorgeous chunky jewellery for the bride to wear.

Boho Wedding Florals
The bridal bouquet was created by the super talented Mae Dae Weddings with crisp white and neutral tones, and no bohemian floral bouquet would be complete without dried florals or pampas.
To complete the look, the bouquet was finished with a personalised handmade silk bouquet ribbon by
 The Botanical Dyer

Bohemian Table Decor
The wedding table was beautifully styled by North & Wild Events, with the crockery supplied by Whitehouse Event Crockery, we love the hint of gold which adds to this luxury bohemian vibe.

Wedding Cake
The stunning 3-tier all over white wedding cake and wedding favours were designed and created by Where The Ribbon Ends, a mother and daughter team based in North Yorkshire.

We love the added editions of the gold balls and dried flowers to really turn this elegant wedding cake into a boho lovers dream and it just look stunning sitting with the table decor.

Bold Boho Wedding Stationery
Sarah from Sundown Paper designed the fabulous stationery for the shoot, creating a 70's bold boho vibe, matching perfectly with the colours and theme running throughout the shoot.

The welcome sign was created by the talented Maria Manuscript and again fits perfectly for this shoot.

Wedding Photography & Videography
The whole vibe of this styled shoot was captured perfectly by Mark Bamforth Photography who is a wedding, elopement and destination photographer based in the North of England.
Claire from Everwood Films created a beautifully romantic and emotive film which you can enjoy here

Sophie added, 'The suppliers that worked on this shoot are resilient, hardworking & super talented'. There is a quote she loves & that is ‘But out of limitations, comes creativity & this shoot proves just that'. We couldn't agree more!

We hope you enjoyed this blog post just as much as we enjoyed writing about it and putting it together.
