Welcome to The Boho Bride Guide.

Boho Luxe Wedding: Muted Tones, Pampas Grass & Draping

We are super excited to welcome our fabulous approved supplier Bryony from Bobbi Wren Events, and the team to our Wedding Inspiration Blog.

Bryony will be sharing the stunning images from her 'Textured Boho Luxe' inspired shoot at the beautiful Swancar Farm Country House. The inspiration behind this shoot was the venue itself and its Glass Barn, with its beautiful wooden frame. This called for something complimenting; soft, textured and sophisticated with a bohemian touch.

'The vibe was chilled and the images were peaceful, light, cosy and full of love.'

The Venue
Swancar Farm Country House is a beautiful period country house set in the rural countryside of Trowell, Nottinghamshire. They offer exclusive use of the whole venue with numerous celebration areas to choose from throughout your day. From the Oak Hall, Courtyard and Old Stables, through to the show stopper Glass Barn that we chose to set up the ceremony space.

Bridal Outfit
Abby from In The Name Of Love Bridal kindly let us take Amy to try on, originally what was going to be a jumpsuit, in her stylish bridal studio, however we fell in love with the texture of this dress and how captivating Amy was when she wore it.
Abby provides unique bridal pieces which was so refreshing, and the cape which Amy wore for part of the shoot and outdoors added that extra wow factor.

MUA & Hair
Sam from Life of a Beauty Girl, was so welcoming and brilliant to work with creatively. She gave Amy a natural look with a dewy glow to compliment her already pretty face who doesn’t wear a lot of makeup anyway.

Kellie from Kellie Straw hair and Beauty kept  Amy’s long blonde hair around her face, and added effortless curls and a twist detail to the back and around the twig crown.

Event Hire & Styling by Bryony from Bobbi Wren Events
I love to create beautiful and emotive settings that give those 'feels'.  This editorial shoot was all about using a depth of textures and tonal hues, without a colour pop. I loved using our dark oak backdrop structure to match the venue’s chairs, and added lots of different materials to layer and add interest to the eye; cheesecloth, Egyptian cotton, voile and lace for a dreamy look, and carried this on with scrim chair ties and demijohns with just a few stems of soft grey pampas.

I have a love of bamboo and as my collection builds, I used just two armchairs with soft grey fur for those couple backdrop images and a cow skin rug for even more texture and depth.  The top table mirrored the backdrop style with a new wooden triangle backdrop for simplicity in contrast to this with vintage brass candlesticks and detailed glass decanters.

Wedding Tablescape
I set up the table using the drapes from the previous backdrop to carry on the theme however replaced the backdrop with a two piece triangle, signifying manifestation and enlightenment, the perfect shape for a wedding.  It also provided a softer backdrop.

Wedding Flowers
Catherine from Inspired Foristry is just wonderful. Always ready to create something different like the delicate twig floral crown resembling the antlers throughout the venue itself. Bringing along the perfect prop for the tall floral arrangement for the archway which made it completely independent and the wonderful displays in front of the table.  The bouquet mirrored the shape of the cake with a square nest made again from twigs.

Elegant Wedding Cake
Natalie from @cakes.bynatalie is queen of stencils on her cakes and she did not disappoint with a wonderful floral design. We went for a square cake for something different with a nude palette and she added some flower stems from Inspired Floristy to bring everything together.  She also brought us all delicious cupcakes on the day which were delish!!

Elegant Textured Wedding Stationery
I asked Sally from I Do Invites for simple and elegantly textured stationery to match the mood board and colours and she didn't disappoint! Sally designed and created the stunning wedding stationery embellished with real pressed flowers and finished off with a real flowers with a clear wax seal, just stunning!

Photography
Sarita White Photography has an amazing flare for capturing all the little details before you have even asked her to and then some!  She has a wonderful eye and creative side herself, and always inspiring and full of ideas when planning the shoot.  We always get so excited together on the run up to and on the shoot itself.

I love styling shoots as it’s a brilliant way to showcase prospective couples what type of scenes and styling I can create and how it can all come together even from the smallest of ideas. I wanted to showcase a sophisticated, boho luxe editorial wedding shoot to compliment this outstanding venue and feel very privileged to have been able to work here.

Lots of love,
Bryony
